This is the task for your Independent work:

1. RETELL the TEXT (I'm an accountant - about Tom Smith)

Achieve your goals
A goal is a purpose you set for yourself. You have to identify the skills that you need to get the job you want. Then you need to decide what and when you are going to do.
Hi! I’m Tom Smith. I’m thirty years old. I live in the city of Dubrovnik in the south of Croatia. I’m an accountant and I work for a company that makes office furniture. It’s a good job with a good salary. But I’m bored with it. Actually, my boss will leave soon and I can apply for her job but I’m tired of going to the same office every day. I feel I won’t be afraid of a new challenge.
Anyway, when I was off work a few weeks ago because I was suffering from flu, I had a lot of time to think about it. When I was better, I started to look at job adverts in the newspapers, but all the jobs were similar to the one I’ve got now.
So, I decided to set up my own business. My dream job is to become a sculptor. I’m not merely interested in it but I enjoy sculpting, creating and representing something by carving, and I’m really good at painting.
In a few months I’ll take park in a summer school on sculpture. During that time I’ll obtain the knowledge that I’ll need for my future occupation.
You know, I have a family and I hope my wife will agree with my idea and won’t worry about money because we’ve got a child. Besides, I’m saving up to pick up a car at a reasonable price. I think I’ll have to take out a loan in a bank.
I feel that the combination of all the opportunity in the business world, along with my education and experience will open the doors of success and I’ll be able to achieve my goals.
