 HERE'S THE TEXT AS A SAMPLE FOR YOUR INDERPENDENT WORK

My house

I live in a modern ten-storeyed block of flats in the city center.

There is a yard with trees and bushes in front of the house.

There is a big supermarket on the left and a parking lot on the right.

Anyway, there are 9 or 10 garages on the ground floor of the house.

Unfortunately we haven't got a garage for our car and leave it in the car park.

Our flat is on the seventh floor.

There is a spacious lift in the block, but sometimes it breaks down and we have to drag slowly onto the 7th floor.

Our flat isn't too large.

There's a small hall, a cozy kitchen, a spacious living room, a comfortable parents' bedroom, a bathroom and my bedroom.

We don't have a dining room; we have a meal in the kitchen.

My favourite room is a living room.

There is a big couch, two armchairs, an LCD-TV and a coffee-table in front of the couch.

There is a big window in the room. 

I like the view of the room, it goes to the sea.

Actually, I spend much time in the lounge, watching TV, listening to music, speaking on phone or just looking at the sea out of the window.

I forgot to tell, there is a large balcony from the kitchen.

So, I like our flat because it is in the new comfortable modern building.
